Variations on the
woman on her back position
The woman on her back position is is the
coital position most used throughout the world. The woman lies on her back
with her legs extended or slightly bent while the man lies between her
thighs. If the woman spreads her legs apart she widens the vagina, a
technique that is useful if the penis is thick or the vagina narrow. If
the vagina is large or the penis small she should keep her thighs close
together. Various degrees of leg flexion are possible: fully flexing the
legs and bringing the knees up toward the chin shortens the vagina and
deepens penetration; extending the legs shortens penetration and lengthens
the vagina. Some women like to wrap their legs around the man's waist,
while some rest one or both legs on his shoulders. Kissing is impossible
in some of these positions, but this might not be a problem if there has
been passionate kissing during foreplay. Of course, such full leg flexions
are not easy for obese women or those lacking in fitness.
A cushion or pillow may be placed under the
woman's lower back or buttocks when the man is on top. When her pelvis is
raised the man might be able to kneel with his knees on either side of the
woman's hips, which means his weight does not press heavily on her, and he
can control his movements using less energy than in most other sexual
positions. Placing a cushion or pillow under the small of his partner's
back tilts her pelvis forward so that the depth of her vagina is
shortened, which may be helpful if he has a short penis; with a cushion in
place, it's also possible that the man's penis might be able to stimulate
the woman's clitoris. Once again, the width of the vagina can be controlled
by adjusting the spacing of the woman's legs.
In one variation, the woman lies on the
edge of a bed with her legs hanging down over the edge, while the man
stands between her parted thighs. Though exciting, some men suffer
knee wobbles from coitus and orgasm in this standing position. As before, the
woman can flex and raise her legs as desired to alter the depth of
penetration and the sensations they both enjoy during lovemaking. And when the woman kneels with her chest
down, her buttocks are raised and this makes the man's entry easier. The
posture lengthens and opens up the vagina. This is just about the
only posture in which the vagina is often seen open, for normally
its walls remain collapsed until introduction of the penis. The man kneels
behind the woman and between her thighs to enter her. The woman should try
to tilt her pelvis so that her clitoris receives stimulation; but if this
doesn't happen, the man can always play with it with one hand. Coitus in
this position often produces delightfully sexual sounds.
The woman on top position with the woman
lying full length on top of the man tends not to offer great depth of
penetration. To get deeper penetration into her vagina in this position,
the woman should kneel or squat astride her partner, facing him. (Although
you can try this while she faces away from him, the angle of vagina and
penis may not match very well, and he may find it an uncomfortable strain
on his erection). After his penis is in her vagina, she should sit firmly down on his thighs:
this provides the greatest depth of penetration when the woman holds
herself upright. When she leans forward or backwards the depth of
penetration will lessen. An average size penis can provide intense
sensations during sex in this position, and even a smaller one can also
produce wonderful sensations of filling or even stretching
the vagina.

There is no "correct" way for a
couple to
enjoy intercourse - lovemaking is their own personal act of creativity and

experience, but it may not be that easy to achieve. Assuming that you can
both achieve orgasm during intercourse, it's worth knowing that many women
say that their orgasmic sensations are
much more intense if they climax first and their man does so about a half
a minute to a minute later. They say that though their orgasm has been
intense, the final movements the man makes to reach orgasm and ejaculate,
and the
spurting of his semen inside the woman's vagina, can bring the woman's
orgasmic sensations to a new peak.
Some women
claim that they have a second orgasm, or if
their initial orgasm has not been very intense, their sexual tension continues to build up
very quickly into a definite second orgasm; and if the man takes two or
three minutes to reach orgasm after she has done so, there may follow a third and even a
fourth real orgasm for the woman. Women who have considered themselves low
in orgasmic response to stimulation have frequently discovered quite by
chance, to their amazement and great delight, that they are capable of
having multiple orgasms, the cumulative effect of which is much more
intense than the effect of simultaneous orgasm.
